This painting emerged from a vision I had. Every element of this painting was created without a preliminary sketch. I began by applying colors directly onto the canvas and completed it on the same day. It was a vivid vision of a garden with blue mountains in the background. It seemed like my own garden, although I don't actually have a house with a garden. This vision inspired me to paint it. To convey my feelings about this vision, I used vibrant, strong colors and minimalistic, large brush strokes to capture the essence of simplicity in painting. The majority of the painting was done with a palette knife.
