During my holiday in Tenerife, I stumbled upon a breathtaking view of vibrant flowers set against a mountainous backdrop. The overcast sky provided perfect conditions for outdoor sketching, shielding me from the harshness of direct sunlight. Later, back in my studio in Germany, I began painting this scene using my sketches and photographs as references. 
I started with large brushes to lay down the base and then switched to smaller brushes, employing wet-on-wet techniques. Once it completely dried, I focused on adding finer details towards the end. The composition takes on a curved path, beginning with the stones and sand in the foreground, leading through the flowers to  a pine tree in the middle ground, and extending to the distant horizon in the upper right, highlighted with strokes of azure blue for the cloudy sky. Here the eyes catch the road and get back to the start. I added extra highlights to enhance the vibrancy while maintaining a calm, realistic feel.
